Web Development, Content Management

Web Site Design or Development

IT Kept Simple offer Web Development that is affordable so that you can take your place online and introduce a presence, some websites are there so that they provide potential customers somewhere to go for prices or services you provide, others provide the ability for the customer to purchase online but every website does one thing, gives your business a place online and gives a more professional look to your business.

There are so many different things you need to consider when designing a website, it is impossible to list them all and if we did list them, you would know what we know!

Each client has different needs depending on their target audience, budget and the product or service they are selling.

When we create your website we follow a few guidelines
Always remember what we are selling

We're not selling the Internet, we are selling an enhancement and an extension of your business.

Get the client the most for their budget

As with other things in life, you get what you pay for. What's more important to you if you are on a budget... the content? the design? Many people don't want to invest alot into a website until they see what they can get out from the website.

Content Management Systems

Updatable pages and images direct from your web browser requiring little or no HTML knowledge so you can keep your customers updated. It is alomst like using Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher.

The content management system we use can be modified to so it is mobile friendly for devices such as iPads, iPhones, Galaxy Tabs, Laptops etc...

Mobile Friendly Web Site Design

Something Extra

Your own online store so your business can be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week worldwide.

Training

We always include two hours of training on the content management system, just so you are not thrown into the deep end without a float, we don't over complicate things and show you how to add new content, edit existing content and move content about.

Stages of Creation
  1. Initial setup: This is the design and setup of the initial layout and colours, also known as a template, that you wish on to have on your website, it does not include any additional artwork design, such as Logos or Images, these are expected to have been previously created.
  2. Template Proof: This is where you will see the beginnings of your website, it will show you how the site will look, where items will sit on the website and individual pages, here you can tweak the layout and elements of the template.
  3. Content Input: This is where your website starts to take shape. Images and writing, collectively known as content are put onto the pages you selected. If you would like us to write the content we can, however, we ask you to write the content as then it reflects your writing style not ours.
  4. Amendments 1: This is the first time you will see your site in all its glory, make comments on the contents layout and menu items.
  5. Content Changes: Here we will update your website with the amendments needed in Amendments 1.
  6. Amendments 2: Here you will get to see your site again with the updated content you requested in Amendments 1, again we ask you to check the site over and make comments about the content as needed. This is the last opportunity to make changes to the content.
  7. Content Changes: Here we will update your website with the amendments needed in Amendments 2.
  8. Website Goes Live: This is the date that your website will avavilable to view online by everyone. This is the final stage in creating your website.
  9. Training: We sit down with you and anyone who will be responsible for the maintenance of the site (we recommend no more than 2 per session) and go through the different options you have on the administrator side of the site, The included training is 2 hours long, additional time can be purchased.
